Is an AI friend really a friend?
Many teenagers chat with AI every day. An AI friend can listen at any time, answer quickly, and never gets tired. This feels helpful when you are lonely or stressed. You can practice English, plan your day, or ask for ideas. However, an AI does not have real feelings. It does not laugh because it is happy or cry because it is sad. It follows rules and patterns. Sometimes it may give the wrong advice or misunderstand your culture. Also, you should be careful with privacy. Do not share secrets, addresses, or passwords. In my opinion, an AI friend can be a useful tool, like a dictionary or a coach. It can support you, but it cannot replace human friendship. We still need real people for trust, empathy, and shared memories. The best choice is balance: use AI for help, and build strong relationships with family and friends.
